DANA LEE BROWN is an independent clothing and textile studio developing soil-to-loom fabrics with North American farms and mills. Among the studio's pursuits is the reinterpretation of North American clothing archetypes, defined not only by aesthetics but also by material origins.
While textiles today typically rely on complex global supply chains, sustaining regional fibre systems and exploring the creative possibilities within them continue to inspire our work.
With a focus on organic and restorative farming, our design begins with wool, cotton, and other natural fibres grown from the Pacific coastline to the Maritimes, bringing together fibre processors, spinners, weavers, and knitters whose skills and knowledge contribute to each textile.
Since the studio's founding, over 90% of our fibres have originated in North America, with all fabric production and garment construction taking place within the region.
DANA
Since 2018, Dana has resided on NEXWLÉLEXWM (Bowen Island), the ancestral and unceded territory of the SḴWX̱WÚ7MESH ÚXWUMIXW (Squamish Nation), where her brand is also based.
Dana's focus on menswear and domestic production spans more than two decades, including her first namesake label, DANA LEE
