Collection

DANA LEE BROWN is a textile-focused clothing line, built on a range of custom field-to-loom fabrics developed in collaboration with North American farms and supply chains.

Guided by a bioregional approach, the design starts with natural fibres grown as close to home as possible—each chosen for its quality, unique character, and philosophy of cultivation. From there, the process continues through yarn spinning, weaving, knitting, and other steps that extend from the Cascadian coastline to the Maritimes.

While textiles are typically reliant on a complex network of global supply chains, DLB is drawn to the creative challenge of exploring what can be made with resources close at hand. The goal is not only to invest in restorative local fibre systems, but to innovate textiles that are both distinctive and compelling.

We invite you to visit our Shop/ Studio on Bowen Island, BC, where you can learn more about the collection and connect with the slower pace and natural surroundings that influence the DLB line.

DANA

Daughter of Shiu Hon Lee and Donna Jean Brown, Dana grew up in Northern BC and Vancouver before moving to New York to design menswear. There, she eventually founded her eponymous label, DANA LEE (2008–2016), before taking a five-year hiatus from the garment industry.

Her prior experience with local garment and textile production serves as the foundation for this deeper exploration into place, while carrying forward her long-standing interest in garments shaped by both humility and expression.

Since 2018, Dana has resided on NEXWLÉLEXWM (Bowen Island), the ancestral and unceded territory of the SḴWX̱WÚ7MESH ÚXWUMIXW (Squamish Nation), where her brand is also based.
