DANA LEE BROWN is a growing collection of clothing and accessories developed from field-to-final-garment.
Starting with locally-grown cotton and locally-raised wool, The fibres are then washed, ginned, carded, combed, spun, plied, knitted & woven, finally made into garments all between Northern California and New Brunswick.
Together with farms and mills whose practices we admire, a range of custom textiles have been developed for the collection from soil-to-final-finish.
Each piece is finished with a hand-chronicled label sharing it's journey from raw natural fibre to finished style.
Dana grew up in the Pacific Northwest before moving to New York to design menswear. An initial brand in 2006 led to the creation of her eponymous NY-based label, DANA LEE (2008-2017), followed by a 5 year hiatus from producing clothing.
With a long-time interest in low-key fashionabilty and local production, she is excited to be evolving these focuses with the addition of her maternal name BROWN.
Dana is grateful to now live and work on Nexwlélexwm (Bowen Island), the ancestral and unceded territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation).
