High Desert Wool Felted Fleece

Developed from soil-to-loom using luxurious, smooth Rambouillet wool (inner) and organic cotton (outer), this knitted fabric offers a structured yet elevated feel. The brushed wool interior is felted, creating a soft, compact texture, while the cotton face features subtle flecks of wool that will develop a unique, nubby character over time.

The wool is sourced from Rambouillet sheep, raised using climate-beneficial practices located at the edge of the Great Basin high desert, straddling the California-Nevada border. The smooth, slightly puckered exterior is made from Organic Upland Cotton grown by T.O.C.M.C., a cooperative of organic farmers in South Plains, Texas.

After the raw cotton and wool are ginned, carded, washed, and combed, they are spun into yarns by small mills in North Carolina and Maine. The yarns are then knitted into fabric at our mill in Quebec. The drawstrings are custom woven in an artisan mill, combining the same organic cotton with hemp for added durability and texture.

Avoid hanging the item to dry as this may stretch it out. Lay it flat on a clean surface to retain its shape.

No Dryer:
Do not put this item in the dryer. Air drying is best to maintain its integrity.

Tip: If you're having difficulty removing excess water, you can use the "drain & spin" cycle on a washing machine. However, make sure no other garments are in the load to prevent pilling.
